Practicum Student Placement

Let Jason know if you are interested.

Holly Bond is one of our traditional MBCW students.  She is taking ED 110 during May Term which requires a full-time practicum placement between April 26th and May 15th.  She will be required to be at school every day for student hours, if not longer (based on the teacher's preference).  She will be required to accumulate at least 90 hours.

Report Card Comment Recommendations
-       Reserve bulk comments for classroom newsletters.
-       Express that you enjoy their child and what strengths you have seen.
-       Generally describing if they are on or how far below grade level they are in a subject. If they are below, a brief comment about the plan to get them caught up:

*   …is slightly below grade level in mathematics, performing at about a 3rd grade. We have interventions in place to support their progress.

Tornado Drill
Sorry for the late addition to the calendar. Our tornado drill will take place on Tuesday March 21, 9:45am. The plan is to have a demo of the tornado drill position for students, during the morning announcements Tuesday morning. Also, notice that there is a tornado drill map attached to this email. Here are the general procedures:
General procedures will be given over the all-call PA.  I will begin with “We are now going to practice our Tornado Safety Drill, at this time everyone needs to get to their Tornado Safety Zone.” I will give classes two / three minutes to get to their Tornado Safety Zones. Once classes are in their Zones, I will announce for students to, “get into tornado safety positions.” Students should be on their knees, crouched over with their hands covering their heads. We will have students hold that position for 5 seconds and then I will announce “all clear”, to return to class. Please leave instructions for your substitutes.
Use your judgment in dealing with student health concerns while performing this drill.
