cottage for the next few weeks as she fills in for Nancy F. Amy is also
not so new as she substituted in kindergarten a few days this fall.
Lauren and Amy recently completed the certification requirements at the

NEW CLASSROOM COVERAGE INCENTIVE FOR TEACHERS AND TA’S
All,
Here is some news about a new substitute/coverage incentive contract for
teachers or teaching assistants that are interested and eligible. Some of the l
anguage may say, “Secondary” teachers, but it applies to elementary as well.
Take a look. INCENTIVE CONTRACT
Teachers, email me if you are interested. We will place general information
Teachers, email me if you are interested. We will place general information
and contracts in Teaching Assistants’ mailboxes.
Sub Placement Guidelines:
Teaching Assistants
- TAs should not be pulled from their classrooms more than
4 times/semester.
- Principals should spread the opportunities to substitute among
all of the willing teaching assistants and avoid calling on the same/select
group of TAs to substitute for absent teachers.
- When possible, principals should utilize TAs to substitute for their
specific teacher first before asking TAs to substitute for teachers in
other classrooms.
Teachers
- Teachers should not substitute during school meetings
(such as PLC, collab, department head, leadership, etc.).
- Secondary Teachers should not substitute more than two periods
in a week.
- Elementary Teachers should not substitute more than two planning
periods in a week.
When possible, teachers should substitute for other teachers in their department/grade
level first before substituting for teachers in other departments/grade levels.
