The Bees of Western Albemarle High School,
Class of 2018 Celebration Parade
The Bees of Western Albemarle High School,
Class of 2018. These outstanding students will
graduate next Friday on June 1st. All of these
students are former Brownsville Bees and we
are so proud of them. We will do a parade in
the halls throughout the school and if there
is enough room, Mr. Key will lead the parade
on the floor cleaner. I know you all want
the golf cart, but… This year’s Golden Apple
Award winner, Ms. McCartney, is our Grand Marshal.
She was a teacher at Brownsville when these
Graduating Senior Bees were here attending school.
She will bee accompanied by 5th grader and former
student of Ms. McCartney’s, Emily See, representing
Brownsville’s moving up class. Ms. Morris and
Ms. McCartney’s student, George Latimore, will be the
caboose of the parade, representing Brownsville’s future.
Arg, I forgot the scanned image of the route at school.
Team Leaders, please pass along the copy I sent you
earlier. I will send an immediate update about the
event early Monday morning.
Let Jason know if you have any questions.
A New Bee!
Introducing a new bee to the Hive for 2018-19, Courtney Wood.
Courtney will be joining the 1st grade team next year. Courtney
has served Agnor-Hurt Elementary over the last 12 years as a
primary grade teacher and recently worked in the multi-aged program.
Her mother, Susan Wilson, was a Brownsville teacher for 31 years, so she is
definitely familiar with our community. Courtney is an enthusiastic and
versatile educator who will bring experience and leadership. Feel
free to welcome her, cwood3@k12albemarle.org
