New Locks on Classroom Doors
Over Spring Break, we received new pushbutton locks and security film on the classroom doors and side windows as part of VDOE’s School Security Equipment Grant funding.
Door Lock Instructions
1. Pushing AND turning the inside button clockwise locks the outside lever. Turning a key in the outside lever will retract the latch.
2. The inside lever is always unlocked (i.e., you cannot get locked in the classroom).
3. Pushing the button in WITHOUT turning clockwise will allow the outside lever to unlock when the inside lever is turned.
4. All key cores remain the same, so there are no access changes with the new locks.
Security Film
Security film was installed on classroom door and side windows. The security film will delay anyone trying to break through the glass. Items that were removed for the installation were not put back up.

Student Intern Placement for the Fall
We have 3 Curry School Interns requesting placement. 2 are open to any grade level, one is looking for primary grades.
Mentor teachers will receive 90 points and need to help with 3 sub days when our building is in need. We will not request mentors teachers to sub until the middle of October.
Let Jason know if you are interested.

Come On Out to the Fun Fair April 23rd!
The FUN FAIR is back this year, Sunday April 23rd 2-5pm. We hope as many teachers as possible can attend. This will be a great way to make some FUN connections with your students and families. There will also be some fun events for teachers to participate in. Don’t worry, no dunking booths (gross). Worst I can think, maybe a no-hands pie eating contest or bucket of water dumped on your head. You may request warm water. Jason will bee checking in to see if there are any willing participants. : )
